Gloryalicious HandCrafted, Custom Scarves resulted from a restless mind while I recuperated from back surgery.

I received two rolls of acrylic yarn with a few crochet needles that belonged to our mother after she passed. Unable to work, I picked up the yarn and needle to calm anxious nerves, pass time and relax. Passion was uncovered, discovered, creativity unleashed. 

​

Along this journey, I have had several realizations. One major insight was how colors, fibers, patterns and textures excite my artistic eye. I am also a deep believer in the power of colors and how we can influence our emotionally, physical and spiritual wellbeing with them.

Equally important, I began to understand how present multi-national capitalistic system of production and distribution has seperate us from the talents, skills and abilities handed down in our DNA from ancestors. 

 

We live in a time where, "Made in China," is the new normal. I recall when each piece of clothing or product had a, "Made in America by a Union Member." This was a source of pride as it signified quality and American made work.

 

Gloryalicious HandCrafted Signature Swag Wear is a tribute to my mother, grandmother and great-grandmother whose creativity and design lives in side of me. 

 

What we wear, who produces it, how we invest in local communities is vital to our individual and collective well-being. 

 

It's my aspirations to create Sustainable Fashion that contributes to Eco-Conscous products and lifestyles.
